Thomassen is a specialised gas turbine and power plant Operations & Maintenance company providing the complete scope of after-sales services and technical turnkey solutions in the Oil & Gas and Power Industry globally. We provide Gas Turbine component repair services through its state of the art workshop facilities in Dubai and Oman, which specializes in hot gas path components, fuel nozzle, valve and actuator repairs.

Thomassen provides innovative client-centric technical advisory & field services solutions for both heavy duty and aeroderivative gas turbines in grid and islanded operations. We deploy a one-stop-shop methodology for the complete O&M of your power plant to ensure a safe and proper functioning power plant. Plant downtime and maintenance turnaround time is key for any customer and through our vast in-house capabilities we have full control of the value chain to reduce lead time whilst sustaining full quality control.

We offer an extensive portfolio of services consisting of HGP component repair, rotor repair works, spare parts supply, supply of experienced field service engineers, planned outages, unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting, flexible long term service agreements, training and power plant refurbishment / upgrades.

1998

Thomassen Holding Ltd, British Virgin Island, and Thomassen Services & Contracting Company LLC, Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, was established.

1999

Restructuring of Thomassen International Holdings BV, the Netherlands, and Thomassen Services & Contracting Company LLC, Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, was acquired by Thomassen Holding Ltd.

2000

Thomassen Services & Contracting Company LLC was awarded the O&M contract for the Petroleum Development Oman consisting of 27 gas turbines and 14 power plants totalling 1,750MW of power under management.

Thomassen Service Middle East LLC was established in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to provide a complete package of after-sales services on gas turbines in operation with utility and captive power producers.

2012

Thomassen Nigeria Ltd was established in Lagos, Nigeria. The primary business focus is to provide technical O&M services to Power Plants in Nigeria and Africa region.

Thomassen is founding shareholder in Transcorp Ughelli Power Limited, Nigeria, and participated successfully in the 1st round of privatisation of the 935MW Ughelli Power Plant in Delta State consisting of 6x F9E and 12x H25. Since 2012, Thomassen has been the technical and O&M partner of the Ughelli Power Plant.

2014

Expansion and relocation of repair workshop from Sohar to Nizwa in Oman.

Thomassen is the technical partner & equity investors in Bressons Magboro IPP, Lagos, Nigeria.

2015

Thomassen acquired Consolidated Filters Industry in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and rebranded it to Thomassen International Filters Manufacturing LLC. Thomassen expands and diversified it’s product range to the manufacturing of GT air inlet filters.

2020

Thomassen Australasia was established when a majority stake in Turbeq Australasia Pty Ltd was acquired by Thomassen.

Since inception in 2012 Turbeq represented various turbine component manufacturers and maintenance companies to cover the spare parts and maintenance requirements of thermal power plants in Australia.

Turbeq was also responsible for the supply chain management of Thomassen Group

In June 2015 Thomassen Holding has acquired Consolidated Filters Industry LLC a local company in Dubai, United Arab Emirates specialized in the manufacturing of gas turbine air inlet systems and filters.
